. . . pour grace . . .

it’s been awhile since i last wrote huh? maybe one of these days i will be good at keeping everyone up to date, but don’t hold your breath on that idea.

since i last wrote . . . .

 > dwight and i spent 6 days in maine. we had our mid-term break, so we went to maine to stay with his family. we laughed a lot with them, spent time with lindsay (dwight’s sister), hung with geoffrey a little, watched ultimate fighting, ate fries and a frosty at wendy’s (gluten-free baby!), had over four hours of great pre marriage counseling, spent a lot of time just chilling, and (drum roll please) we went to an .... english speaking/singing/gathered worship service sunday morning. AHHH! it was amazing and much loved by me!

> there has been l.o.t.s. on my mind since coming back from maine.

> i’ve had some really, really great talks with dwight (about some of what’s been on my mind). i know i’ve said it, but say it again i must: it’s truly amazing having dwight here with me! Thank You Jesus, only You know me well enough to know i would need dwight with me!!! Thank You.

> it snowed here!!! yes, that is right, snow! one morning, i went down stairs for breakfast to hear, “c’est neige! c’est neige! c’est neige!” i looked outside and they were right, there was the snow, laying white and cold on the ground (come to think of it, i’ve never seen black and hot snow laying on the ground before). crazy! however, it had melted by the next day and who knows when we’ll get it again. but, when we do, we’re in for a “treat.” i think the snow will be over my head this year. snow and french.

> november 1st. yes, my birthday was last weekend and it was a-mazing! let me tell you why. in the middle of last week i got a card in the mail (a rascal flats singing card at that) from erin yoder!!! on friday i opened an incredible package from my gift-giver sister, jana, avec a shirt, a journal, reese’s, gf bars, earrings, more reese’s, and more amazingness in the box. i ALSO opened an incredible package from some at cgs. get this -- more reese’s (yes, i am one happy girl), a coloring book and crayons, little fun things, pencils (which was great ‘cause i needed to buy some), and more amazingness. i also received a great card from the rest of my family and a card from my grandparents. friday, in the middle of class, stephen (the guy that sits besides me in class and makes french fun!!) brought ice cream and all the goodness you put on ice cream and we celebrated our birthdays (his was a few days later)!  saturday morning, dwight and i got in the car to go to montreal about 9. but, before we left, he gave me presents from his family (i never get this many presents, maybe i should go away more often :) ... a sweet ae shirt from mr. and mrs. b and a sweet scarf from lindsay! then dwight gave me a card (which i have read about 3,000 times thus far and i’m sure i’ll read it again tonight), a photo album, and “tickets” to an amazing weekend with him.

here’s how it went down: we saw a movie together, walked around montreal a lot (which is one of my favorite things to do there), went to a gluten free restaurant, went to get  coffee a few times (oo, we went to starbucks and i got one of their “gluten free” deserts, and it was SO good, merci starbucks), we hung out with his friend some, we went to a huge church right outside of montreal, and he took me to a french concert (which was so much fun). we came back late sunday night. i thought the “b-day” thing was over and then bam, i walk into my room at school an there are balloons everywhere, string hanging off the walls and the ceilings!!! two of the girls had done it for priscilla and moi. (my room mate and i have the same birthday, yet she is one year younger than me, weird huh?) also, priscilla got me a huge picture frame with pictures of her and i in it. and then in the morning i checked my facebook to find MILLIONS of wall posts. what can i say about my birthday but ... WOW ... merci beaucoup to all who were involved in making it such a wonderful birthday, although it was away from home!

this is long enough and i am tired, so let me end with this quote from my newest book,

“there’s no limit to His holiness, glory, and sovereignty, no end to His riches, wisdom, and righteousness. all His attributes exist together in perfect harmony, perfect balance, perfect cooperation, with no contradiction, no confusion, and no diminishing of their glory forever. He is the source of everything good and beautiful.” (worship matters)

“pour grace into my life. sweetly. grace came into my life. grace into my life. so sweetly.”
